PARENT POLICY

Please review our studio policies and guidelines below to ensure a safe and focused environment for all students.

Studio Access & Observation

To minimise distractions, parents are not permitted in the studio for school-age classes. We provide specific opportunities throughout the year for parents to observe their child's progress. For toddler classes, one parent may sit in quietly; we ask that you refrain from using mobile phones during this time. Please contact us if your child would like extra support if they are anxious, have a disability, or have a health condition that needs monitoring

Enrolment & Fees

Full term fees are due within two weeks of the term's commencement. Please note that if a student decides to stop dancing mid-term, payment is still required. Terms 2, 3, and 4 roll over automatically. If you wish to cancel an enrolment for the following term, you must notify us in advance so we can offer the place to a student on our waitlist. Failure to provide notice will result in full charges for that term.

Refunds & Credits

As we offer trial classes, we do not provide refunds or credits for a loss of interest. In the event of injury or major illness, we can credit remaining fees to the following term upon receipt of a doctor’s certificate.

Attendance & Make-up Classes

Students may attend up to two make-up classes per term. These must be used within the current term and do not roll over. If your child will be absent for more than two weeks, you must either pay for the full term to hold their place or un-enrol and risk losing your spot upon return.

Creative & Active Kids Vouchers

We accept NSW Creative and Active Kids Vouchers via email (please send us a snapshot of the voucher). Once processed, we will email your updated invoice; please allow up to one week for manual processing. Note that we do not offer refunds if you pay before the voucher is redeemed; instead, a credit will be applied to your account for the remainder of the year.

Safety & Conduct

All our educators hold current WWCCs and adhere to a Code of Conduct. We expect all students to show respect to their teachers and peers. Disrespectful or anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.

Class Requirements & Health

- Attire: Please refer to the "What to Wear" page for specific requirements.
- Hydration: Students should bring their own water bottle.
- Food: Eating is not permitted during class due to choking hazards. Quick snacks are allowed between back-to-back classes.
- Pick-up: Please collect your child promptly. Children must wait inside the hall/studio, as there is no supervision provided outside.

Media & Photography

We occasionally take photos and videos for our website and social media (Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube). If you do not wish for your child’s image to be used, please tick the option in your Parent Portal 'No Public Photos'. We also ask that parents keep personal filming to a minimum during class to respect the privacy of others and avoid distractions.

Concerts

We hold a relaxed mid-year showcase and a larger end-of-year concert. Our focus is on fun and skill-sharing; we do not require makeup or elaborate styling. Costume costs range from $35–$60 (incl. GST) and will be added to your Term 3 and 4 invoices.

Disclaimer

While we prioritise safe dance practices, ElectricDNA accepts no responsibility for injury or loss occurring during or near classes. Participants must be medically fit, participate in warm-ups, and take responsibility for their own personal safety. Students left at the studio outside of scheduled class times are not supervised and are there at your own risk.
