Hip Hop
Hip Hop or street dance originated from New York City in the 1970’s and is constantly evolving. It includes a wide range of styles, including popping, locking and breaking but ultimately it's free and expressive. Our classes are a combination of these styles plus more. A very fun, active & social class.
Ballet
Our ballerinas will learn the fundamentals of ballet technique using the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) training programs. Junior classes will still have a creative element using scarves & ribbons etc., while our teens, will have the opportunity to do RAD exams and enter into a more accelerated program.
Contemporary
Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Our classes are a combination of technique, fluid movements and freedom of movement.
Acrobatics
Acrobatics is one of our most popular classes combining across the mat combinations (tumbling, cartwheels, walkovers) , ariel skills, mini tramp and crash mat exercises. We have two highly qualified coaches taking each class who will guide and coach the kids to do the she skills they want to do in a safe environment.
Musical Theatre
Our new up and coming favourite class amongst our school-aged kids. This class combines singing, dancing & acting and is taught by industry professionals. The kids will learn routines from their favourite musicals, voice training exercises, acting skills and games.
Jazz
Our jazz dancers will learn a combination of the many different styles of this genre including across the floor techniques such as kicks, turns and leaps, as well as choreographic combinations. This class is upbeat, and fun, and is a wonderful alternative to ballet
Tap
Tap dance is a form of dance characterised by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. Our tap classes focus on musicality, rhythm and coordinated movement. We also include fun rhythm games and exercises
Lyrical
Lyrical dance is a dance style that blends elements of ballet and jazz dance. Lyrical dance is generally a little more fluid than ballet but not as fast and upbeat as jazz. Lyrical is a very passionate and emotional style of dance and is often inspired by the music in which the dancer is performing to.
Company
Company is a team who perform throughout the year at different events. This class is aimed at juniors (8-10yrs), through to Seniors, and is great if you want to improve on technique & performance.
